RECORDING & TRACKING

Internally, AES can handle small acoustic groups and bands, not more than 5-6 individuals and equipment. If larger groups are involved, AES contracts with local studios for tracking. Should the client desire, AES can be part of the tracking session to ensure the appropriate level of attention to detail is paid to each micing and recording session.

For small groups, tracks are typically laid down in groups – drums, bass, vocals, acoustic instruments, and electric guitars are all recorded separately. This methodology provides for the best instrumentation and vocal separation for the final mix.
